Graduating senior Will Denton makes history by being the first student to sign the Student Guild Constitution.
On March 3, 2009 members of the ACBA student body made history my signing the very first ACBA Student Guild Constitution. The evening didn’t go without proposed amendments and minor squabbles, but the present students recognized themselves as a functioning governing body ready to make decisions on behalf of the ACBA student body by autographing a sheet of paper.
Current third and fourth year students authored the document as a part of the Civics Engagement class, advised by Professor Meg Moughan. The 4-page document contains ten articles outlining the purpose of the Guild and its list of rules and regulations for its members. Every full-time student enrolled at the American College of the Building Arts is automatically a member of the Guild. Participation in the Guild is fully voluntary, but each student is encouraged to play an active roll in the organization.
